Greenville, Mississippi, 2008

Although Greenville is the largest city in the Mississippi Delta region it suffers the similar structures of American rural poverty. Christopher Beal is trying to make a name for himself as a rapper but the Delta lacks the transportation infrastructure to allow him to travel to Memphis to record. This same problem prevents many people from commuting to jobs in bigger towns, or migrating to more prosperous cities.
