Inquiry Pilots Program in Shanghai This past winter break, the IGL organized the first ever Inquiry international research trip to provide an opportunity to see this year’s topic, Global Cities, first hand in Shanghai. Inquiry is the IGL’s high school global issues outreach program. The topic of Inquiry coincides with the EPIIC theme for the year, and the high school students spend the year leading up to the conference preparing for the program. |

Powering the 21st Century: Tufts Energy Forum Hosts Fourth Annual Conference The 4th annual Tufts Energy Conference, “Global Green Infrastructure: Powering the 21st Century”, took place on Saturday, March 28th in Tufts' new and environmentally-friendly Sophia Gordon Hall. It was a highly successful event that brought together students and professionals interested in improving our means of power generation, transmission, and delivery, in both domestic and international markets. | |||||
Program Update: International (interdisciplinary) Resilience (research and policy/practice) Program (IRP) Funding support of $14,140 was gratefully received from the Christensen Fund’s Global biocultural initiative – Institutions and Policies: Wisdom and Practice grant program (http://www.christensenfund.org/) to publish and disseminate a special issue of the African Health Sciences journal on the application of Resilience theory to understanding individual, community and environmental resilience in crisis and change as well as upgrade computer and internet access for this important on-line and print journal. |
