Each year, the seminar will extend into the summer, with opportunities for field work with leading documentary practitioners.
Over the last six years, Knight and other journalists have led eight fourteen-day workshops for Tufts students in Argentina, Cambodia, India, Kashmir, Kosovo, Uganda, the United States and Vietnam. Students can expect to work under supervision in the field on every continent, examining a diverse range of issues. On past workshops, students have covered issues such as HIV/AIDS in Cambodia, the Indian paramilitary presence in Kashmir, “Las Madres” of Argentina, post-conflict resolution in Kosovo, and traditional burial ceremonies in Vietnam.
