I am working on an MALD thesis “Implications of Biofuels on Food Security, Climate Change, and Energy Security: A Case Study of Nepal” I will conduct qualitative research on the prospects and challenges of biofuel production and policies in Nepal.

Biofuels is a very new area in Nepal, with very limited research done on it so far. There are a handful of organizations seriously pursuing biofuel production. I had the chance to meet most of them and interview them. Currently I am working on putting together these interviews and creating a short report that can be distributed to different NGOs and government agencies interested in biofuel production.
