World Energy Summit

A group of eight students traveled to the World Future Energy Summit in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE). The conference was attended by thousands of corporate executives and energy ministers from around the world and featured speeches by energy experts and world famous figures such as Prince Charles (via hologram), The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, former CEO of BP Lord Brown, architect Lord Foster, Steve Sawyer of the Global Wind Energy Council, the Presidents’ of Iceland and Djibouti, among others. An exhibition also showcased hundreds of energy companies from start-ups to multinational corporations like BP, Shell and Total. Less than 10 other students from different parts of the world attended the conference and the ESI was one of two student groups to give a presentation during the conference.
